I was born and raised in Arkansas to the age of 13, then moved to the Arizona mountains. From there I enlisted in the Army and served in combat arms for 20 + years. After the Army, I was employed as a police officer for Russellville.
I was raised in a family that had just enough faith to feel guilty when we did something un-Christian like. As I became older and was exposed to life's hardships and dangers, I turned more and more to prayer. I began to realize that my prayers were consistently being answered. With thqat realization came a small voice that kept saying, your prayers are answered, now what? There was a constant feeling that it was time for me to be more obedient to God's will and the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. But try as I might, I didn't feel that I was doing enough. Then at the graveside of my father I wanted to tell everyone to understand that he had arrived, not departed.
Then I realized that was the work I was looking for. To minister to my family, friends, church, and anyone else I came in contact with, that might plant the seed of faith that could cause them to seek salvation through our Lord, Jesus Christ, so that if I stood by their graveside I could say "They have not departed, they have arrived".
May God bless and keep us all in his mercy.
